Casual look: While Coleen was glammed up for their romantic date Wayne Rooney looked scruffy on Saturday

He has been away on a pre-season tour with Manchester United for three weeks so upon his return Wayne wasted no time in taking his wife out for a romantic meal.

But it appears that he didn’t have enough time to smarten up and looked scruffy in comparison to Coleen who had clearly put in the effort for their dinner date at the weekend.

The pair dined at Gusto restaurant in Alderley Edge on Saturday but Wayne arrived in a pair of ripped jeans, black trainers a grey polo shirt and a black sports jacket.

Meanwhile Coleen looked lovely in a cream lace dress with a structured jacket and a pair of nude Louboutin heels.

And adding to her outfit the WAG had her hair piled up on top of her head in an oversized bun with a pair of gold drop earrings.

As the couple pulled up, Wayne's attire was highlighted as a smart couple walked into the restaurant ahead of them, with the man wearing a dapper suit.

Wayne has been on tour playing football in the U.S. and earlier today he tweeted that he was glad to be back home.

He posted: ‘Back home with @ColeenRoo and Kai. Nice to be home. Edwins game on Wednesday. Looking forward to it.’

With his penchant for being in the water it could be that little Kai Rooney could be destined for a career as a swimmer.

But yesterday he seemed to show an interest in diving as he stood tentatively on the edge of the pool.

As Coleen kept a close watch on her little boy he seemed ready to jump in but at the last moment he slipped and took a tumble ending up on his bottom with a look of surprise on his face.

WAG Coleen, 25, and Kai are in Dubai while Wayne is on tour with Manchester United in America, as part of his pre-season training.

And given their number of holidays it's no surprise that Kai is so comfortable in the pool - this trip of Coleen's third foreign holiday in six weeks after spending a family break in Barbados followed by a holiday to St Tropez with Wayne.

In total, the Littlewoods designer has enjoyed no less than eight sunshine breaks in the last year.

And as these pictures show she certainly has maintained a deep tan from her recent breaks and showed off her dark colouring in a leopard print bikini.

Little Kai has been proving quite the mini-action man during their trip and took to the water to swim with dolphins.

Coleen clutched her son in her arms during the swim, as the 20-month-old grinned with a smile identical to Wayne.

The WAG, who has made a name for herself as a model and television presenter, took her tot for a dip, with both of them dressed in life jackets.

Coleen posted the cute snap on Twitter, telling her 280,000 followers: 'Kai is loving it! X'

Earlier, she had told fans she was missing her husband, saying: 'Missing @WayneRooney.'

But with Wayne's whopping salary, it's easy to get over the loneliness by jumping on a plane for an impromptu trip.
