Since he was bowled over by Elizabeth Hurley, his slick new look has been the subject of much speculation.

Now it appears Shane Warne is not just slick, but also most definitely sleek.

The Australian cricketer cut an extraordinarily slim figure as he emerged from Miss Hurley’s West London home.


He revealed he has shed two stone in four months, but denies his glamorous girlfriend – notorious for her own strict fitness regime – is behind his image makeover.

The 41-year-old said he had embarked on a training programme off his own back, writing on Twitter: ‘I have always taken pride in my appearance and an attack on EH is unfair.

'I’m proud of how I look and worked my butt off for 4 months.’

Whatever his motivation, he certainly appeared to have worked up a sweat when he was spotted this week, visibly glistening in the English heat.

Spin bowler Warne retired from first-class cricket in 2008.

He began dating actress and model Miss Hurley, 46, last year following her split from estranged husband Arun Nayar.

Liz Hurley has leapt to the defence of her boyfriend Shane Warne amid rumours he has begun wearing make-up.

The 46-year-old actress refuted claims Warne's remarkable transformation since the pair started dating is down to a spot of lip gloss and eye liner.

Australian cricketer Warne has ditched his laddish looks and clothes in recent months in favour of a more refined English gentleman style.


But Bedazzled star Hurley took to Twitter to deny her boyfriend's dramatic makeover involved the use of cosmetics.

In a series of posts, Hurley insisted that Warne's new look was entirely natural.

She Tweeted: 'SW does not wear eye makeup or have an "eye liner tattoo".... his eyes were born that way!

'Neither does he wear lip gloss fyi hacks in gossip press; he'd prob just given me a kiss & got a bit of mine.'

The actress and a radically different looking Warne,41, were photographed together attending Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball last month.

His suave, chiselled appearance sparked rumours he had gone under the knife in a bid to appease his glamorous lover.

Tweeting in her man's defence, Hurley added: 'And re "looking different", you try losing 25lbs and see if you do!'

Shane also refuted the claims, putting his new youthful looks down to a healthy eating regime, exercise and a 'good moisturiser..

He Tweeted: 'Questions re facelift/Botox etc are absolute rubbish.

Shane also promoted Estee Lauder products, the cosmetics brand that signed Liz as their face.

He said: 'New Estee Lauder moisturisers for my skin have made a big difference.'
Hurley - whose divorce from businessman Arun Nayar was confirmed in June - began seeing Warne last year.

The romance appeared short-lived after he was exposed for sending sexually explicit texts to an Australian businesswoman earlier this year.

But the relationship appeared to be back on track after Hurley jetted out to India to watch Warne star for the Rajasthan Royals in the country's cricket premier league.

Notorious dieter Hurley had earlier revealed her horror on Twitter after learning the calorie count of one of her favourite snacks.

She exclaimed: 'Horrified to see calorific notes next to muffins in Starbucks; I frequently polish off one at 480 calories. Swoon.'
