'Victoria and I swap baby tips all the time,' says new mother Emma Bunton as she poses with baby son Tate

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Baby joy: Emma Bunton poses with her new son Tate in this photo from Hello magazine. The Spice Girls star also revealed she and bandmate Victoria Beckham have been swapping baby tips

Emma Bunton has told how she and fellow ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham have been swapping baby tips after becoming mums again just weeks apart.

The 35-year-old - once known as Baby Spice - gave birth to Tate Lee Jones in May.
‘As soon as we can possibly meet up, we will. But for the moment we’re making do with emails,’ Miss Bunton told Hello! magazine.

The full interview appears in this week's Hello!

The singer lives in the UK while Mrs Beckham had her fourth child, daughter Harper Seven, two weeks ago in Los Angeles.

‘We’ve been swapping bits of advice and photos and sharing our excitement,’ added Miss Bunton, who also has a three-year-old son, Beau, with partner Jade Jones, 32.
The Dancing On Ice judge said she shares a strong bond with her former band mates – especially now they are all mothers.

‘The first bouquets through the door were from Victoria, Geri (Halliwell) and Mel C. They came with little notes and that is always special to me, to get those from the girls.

'The relationship we girls have will always be special. Now our kids are friends too and as they grow, it will be wonderful to watch them all and the different stages in their lives.'

Spice network: Victoria has just given birth to daughter Harper, and Emma said she is looking forward to seeing their children grow up together

Miss Bunton gave birth to Tate at London's Portland Hospital on May 6 and said she and Jones both sobbed when they held the 7lb bundle.

She said: 'Mum was busy snapping away with her camera and there is one shot of the three of us: Tate is in my arms and I have tears pouring down my face, Jade is kissing me and he's streaming with tears. It was very emotional!'

After originally announcing her pregnancy last November, the Dancing On Ice judge revealed in February she was expecting another boy with Jones.

And in January, the couple revealed they were engaged after 11 years together.

Friends forever: Emma revealed the girls are still close friends and see each other as often as they can

Miss Bunton has previously spoken of her fears she would never conceive after being diagnosed with endometriosis when she was 25.

She said while pregnant with Beau: 'I remember the doctor saying at the time, "Fifty per cent of women with endometriosis go on to have children." I thought, "Only 50 per cent..." It scared the life out of me. I was frightened.

'I've been so worried for such a long time that I might not be able to be a mum.'

The full interview is in the new edition of Hello! magazine, out now.

Pregnant Alicia Douvall recreates Victoria Beckham's beach pose as she insists she'll be back to a size eight SIX WEEKS after giving birth

By Sarah Bull

Pregnant and proud: Alicia Douvall recreates Victoria Beckham's now famous pose in a new shoot with Closer magazine

Pregnant Alicia Douvall has recreated Victoria Beckham's now infamous beachside pose in a new magazine photoshoot.

The former glamour model, who is four months pregnant with her second child, dons a black bikini top and skirt to pay homage to the picture of Victoria which was posted on Facebook by her husband David.

But while Alicia, who is also mother to 16-year-old Georgia, proudly bares her bump in the shoot, she admitted in the accompanying interview with Closer magazine that she is finding it difficult getting used to her changing body.

The original: David posted a picture of wife Victoria having a rest on the beach before she gave birth to daughter Harper Seven

She said: 'I hate getting fat but I have to accept my body hang-ups – that it’s all part and parcel of being pregnant.

'The worst part was losing my six-pack, which I’d carefully maintained by doing 100 sit-ups a day, but at least I’ve now got 32H boobs. They’re incredible!'

And the blonde star has already planned exactly how she is going to lose her pregnancy weight after giving birth.

Alicia told Closer she is planning to get her figure back just six weeks after her scheduled Caesarean section in December.

She insisted: 'I want to be at my target weight of 7st and a size 8 within six weeks.
'I’m going to exercise every day for an hour with a personal trainer and go on a smoothie diet.'

Alicia has vowed never to name the father of her baby, who she says is 'in the public eye', but says she thinks it's 'disgusting' she has been left to raise her baby alone.

She said: 'The worst thing a man can do is to leave a woman to raise their baby alone. Children need a father figure in their lives and I find it disgusting that men can do that.

'I already picked the worst a***hole in the world for Georgia’s father because he never wanted to know and now I don’t know whether this father will take a role in our baby’s life.

'We’ve been in a secret relationship for the past three years and I’m totally in love with him but it’s complicated.

After being a single parent with Georgia, I swore I’d do it right the next time round. I dreamed of having a husband who held my hand through the birth and was there for the baby. Now I can’t believe it’s happened again. I think: "Is it something I’ve done?" '

Alicia also told the magazine she won't be having any more plastic surgery, after going to rehab twice for plastic surgery addiction and having countless cosmetic procedures.

She said: 'Plastic surgery hasn’t made me look any better and I’m not doing it any more. I’ve changed my lifestyle - I eat organic, vegetarian food and take care of my skin. I don’t go out clubbing any more, I don’t drink or smoke. I’m not the same person.'

Pretty in pink: Alicia was spotted on a night out in London last month looking pretty in an asymmetric peach dress

'My two girls sleeping': David Beckham takes intimate photograph of Victoria and baby Harper

By Sarah Bull

He said earlier this week he is learning to be more 'delicate' with new daughter Harper Seven after having three sons with wife Victoria Beckham.

But David is clearly smitten with her little girl and couldn't resist taking an intimate snap of Victoria and their baby daughter as they slept.

Posting the touching photograph to his Facebook page David gushed: 'I took this picture of my two girls sleeping...'

Having a nap: David later posted a picture of Victoria with Harper on his Facebook page

A similar picture was posted by Victoria on Twitter and the footballer couldn't look any more tender as he cradles his daughter.

Victoria posted the picture on her Twitter page with the caption: 'Daddy's little girl!'

In the shot, David is seen touching noses with his little girl, who is wrapped up in a blanket and wearing a little hat.

Yesterday David showed his joy over the arrival of the pair's first daughter when he took to the football pitch with Harper's name stitched on his football boots.

Daddy's little girl: Victoria Beckham has posted the first picture of husband David with their new daughter Harper Seven

New look: Becks took to the pitch last night for a game with his team LA Galaxy against Real Madrid

Pride and joy: Beckham has had new daughter Harper's name added to his boots

In addition to the names of Beckham's three sons with wife Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, the boots have now been embroidered with the name of the couple's new daughter, Harper.

Beckham also went for the colour pink for the boots to highlight his joy at having a little girl to add to his brood.

Accompanying a picture of the boots on his Facebook site, Beckham wrote: 'Check out my boots for the Real Madrid match. A little extra stitching needed from now on....'

And despite the fact that LA Galaxy lost to Real Madrid 4-1, nothing could dampen Beckham's spirits as he headed home after the match.

Beckham spoke earlier this week about little Harper, admitting he and Victoria had decided on the unusual moniker after the former Spice Girl's favourite author, To Kill A Mockingbird's Harper Lee.

Excited: Beckham, who has become a father for the fourth time, certainly seemed in good spirits as he played

Hugs for everybody! David hugs Real Madrid's Marcelo Vieira after the match

In a series of videos posted on his official Facebook page, the 36-year-old sportsman spoke of his joy as becoming a father for the fourth time.

He said: 'A lot of thought goes into our children's names and Harper was a name that we've loved for a long time for a couple of reasons.

'One reason is Harper's an old English name which we loved and one of the other reasons was Victoria's favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird and the author was Harper Lee. It's a very strong, passionate book. That's where Harper came from.

Gearing up: David was seen in training the day before the friendly game

Growing brood: The footballer's three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, accompanied him at training

'To have another girl in the family is really incredible. We've got three beautiful healthy boys already and we're so lucky to have that and now to have a beautiful little girl.

'Having a daughter is a whole new thing. Having pink in the house, having lilac in the house... and you have to be a lot more delicate with girls than boys and I'm not used to that so it's a whole new experience.'

Beckham's online video comes a day after his wife spoke of her joy as becoming a mother to little Harper.

Delighted: Beckham and wife Victoria have both expressed their delight over the new addition to their family

The ex-Spice Girl delivered the 7lbs, 10oz baby at 7:55am last Sunday morning via caesarean section.

She Tweeted: 'Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen, I have fallen in love all over again!!!

'We all feel so blessed and the boys love their baby sister so much!!! X VB.'

'She looks better than me in her dresses': How Elle 'The Body' Macpherson feels upstaged by Posh

By Lauren Paxman

They wear it well: Elle Macpherson and Victoria Beckham is one of the latter's designs

They are both working mothers who turned a very successful first career into an even more credible second one.

And the common ground shared by Elle Macpherson and Victoria Beckham has made them close friends... and fashion rivals.

Anyone who assumed that Elle Macpherson - the supermodel they call 'The Body' - had no qualms about her figure, will be surprised to learn that she thinks Victoria pulls off some dresses better than she does.

While Victoria loves to promote her eponymous label by wearing her own dresses, it might actually be counter-productive as she wears them so well.

Elle generously said: 'Unfortunately when you see her in a dress and then you in a dress, you think, "Oh gosh, better not pick that one!"

The Body clearly admires the new mother as well as her designs, she told the Daily Record : 'I think Victoria is one of the smartest businesswomen around.

'She has really taken that brand and followed her dreams when people said she couldn't do it and that's what I really love about her.'
Elle could be said to have done the same.

Elle said of Victoria's designs: 'They're really beautiful, they're timeless and they
come to the knee. For me, they make the body look amazing and they're very simple'

The 48-year-old is the face of TV series Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model and also has her own Lingerie label, Elle Macpherson Intimates, and beauty range 'Elle Macpherson – The Body'.

And her first choice for many of the photo opportunities her busy career presents her with is Victoria Beckham's frocks.

She said of Victoria: 'She's always been fascinated and passionate about fashion and she found the best people she could to make dresses that fit like a glove.

Big fan: Elle's first choice for many of the photo opportunities her busy career presents her with is a Victoria Beckham dress

'They're really beautiful, they're timeless and they come to the knee. For me, they make the body look amazing and they're very simple.

'They really embody the way that I like to dress and she has really tapped into it and does it better than anybody.'

And it's not just the dresses that Elle approves of.

'Her jeans line is wonderful, her sunglasses line is great, she's a present mother and a supportive wife,' the model gushed.

'You know, she's a good girl.'

'I have fallen in love all over again': Victoria Beckham Tweets her delight at baby Harper's birth

By Emily Sheridan

Blessed: Victoria Beckham shared her joy about becoming a mother to her daughter Harper Seven on her Twitter page

She's understandably been lying low since the arrival of her baby daughter Harper Seven on Sunday.

But today Victoria Beckham returned to Twitter to express her joy at becoming a mother for the fourth time.

The singer-turned-designer admitted she had 'fallen in love all over again' following the birth in Los Angeles.

Expanding their family: Victoria and husband David, pictured at the Royal Wedding in April, now have four children

She Tweeted: 'Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen, I have fallen in love all over again!!!

'We all feel so blessed and the boys love their baby sister so much!!! X VB.'

The ex-Spice Girl delivered the 7lbs, 10oz baby at 7:55am on Sunday morning via caesarean section.

The birth was announced by her proud husband David on his Facebook page.

No paternity leave: David was back at work on Tuesday at the World Football Challenge press conference in Los Angeles

He wrote: 'I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister.'

It is thought the couple may have named their daughter after a TV character Harper, from their son's favourite show The Wizard Of Waverly Place, which stars Selena Gomez.

A family friend told the Daily Mail earlier this week: 'The entire family had input – Victoria and David love the name, but it was the boys who actually came up with it.

'Victoria loved it because it’s an Olde English name and even though Harper is an American by birth, she will always have English roots.'

Was Posh pushing it to have a fourth Caesarean?

By Julia Lawrence

Jayne Hughes struggled to look her obstetrician in the eye as she faced him across the consulting table, feeling sheepish and embarrassed after confessing she was pregnant again.

Jayne was expecting her fourth baby. Significantly, if this pregnancy were to progress, it would mean her going through a fourth Caesarean.

After the birth of her third child, Benjamin, three years earlier, doctors had strongly advised Jayne not to have any more children because by that point she had been through three Caesareans already — which is regarded as the accepted ‘safe’ upper limit.

Family fortune: Jayne Hughes, pictured with three of her four children, Jonathan, 11, Ben, 10 and Laure, seven, says she feels lucky her fourth pregnancy ended safely

Since she and her husband Mark already had two boys and a girl, who is severely disabled with a debilitating premature ageing disorder, they had been more than happy to follow the medical advice they’d been given.

‘Mark was going to have a vasectomy but we kept putting it off,’ says Jayne.

‘To be honest, we were so exhausted most of the time that the risk of me becoming pregnant again seemed very slight indeed.’

But one rare amorous evening, and an accident with a contraceptive, later, and Jayne, 45, and Mark, 38, found themselves back at Liverpool Women’s Hospital ‘feeling like a couple of idiots who really should have known better’.

Jayne, who runs a charity, and Mark, a food safety consultant, had been warned there was a serious risk that she could die if she didn’t terminate the pregnancy.

Her three previous Caesareans had left her womb with so much scar tissue there was a big risk it could rupture, either before or after delivery, resulting in Jayne bleeding to death.

There was also the risk of the baby being starved of oxygen, leaving it severely disabled.

‘I was strongly advised by doctors not to go ahead with the pregnancy,’ says Jayne, from Wallasey on the Wirral.

‘But I was already 17 weeks pregnant at that stage, and had seen the baby kicking healthily on the scan, in which it actually looked as though it was waving at me.

‘I couldn’t abort a healthy baby. Mark and I talked it through and decided that, although there was a huge risk, it was one we had to take.’

Jayne’s predicament bears a close resemblance to that of Victoria Beckham, who gave birth to her fourth child at the weekend — a daughter named Harper Seven — by Caesarean section.

She had already gone under the knife for the births of her three boys, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, reportedly all on doctors’ orders.

And 37-year-old Victoria reportedly opted for a fourth C-section when she had her daughter at a California maternity clinic.

The Beckhams, pictured with sons (from left to right) Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo, have said Harper will be their last baby

Much has been made of Victoria’s numerous Caesareans, which, she has always insisted, were not due to her being ‘too posh to push’ but were rather the result of an unspecified medical issue.

With a six-year gap following the birth of her youngest son, most people assumed she had followed the accepted unwritten rule that three C-sections were enough.

So was Victoria, like Jayne, taking an enormous risk and putting her health on the line in her quest for a much-wanted daughter?

According to consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist Clive Spence-Jones, a fourth Caesarean — or even a fifth or sixth — is not the automatic health disaster many people assume it to be, although risks do exist.

Currently, 23 per cent of births in the UK are carried out by C-section, but many hospitals have much higher rates.

For example, at London’s Portland private maternity hospital, where Mrs Beckham had her previous babies, the rate is around 52 per cent — 36 per cent of them planned and 16 per cent unplanned.

Although it isn’t impossible for a woman to give birth naturally after a previous Caesarean, few do — usually on the advice of their obstetrician, due to the risk of old scar tissue rupturing
during labour. ‘The main worry is that the placenta will implant on a section of the uterus wall in which there is scar tissue from the previous operation,’ Mr Spence-Jones explains.

‘This will not separate as easily after delivery, leading to a greater risk of haemorrhaging.

‘Also, the effect is cumulative. The more operations a woman has, the more scar tissue is produced, increasing the risk of the uterus becoming stuck to either the bladder or the bowel, again leading to greater risk of complications and further surgery.

‘There is the risk, albeit very slight, that old scar tissue, which is not as elastic as skin, could rupture during pregnancy or childbirth if a woman opts for a natural delivery following a Caesarean. In this case, the risk is said to be one in 200.’

Babies born naturally are understood to have a much lower risk of respiratory problems, and are also exposed to protective bacteria as they pass through the birth canal, helping their immune system to develop.

That said, Mr Spence-Jones says he has known women who have safely given birth in the UK to as many as seven or eight healthy babies, all by Caesarean section.

Jayne's predicament bears a close resemblance to that of Victoria Beckham, pictured, who gave birth to her fourth child at the weekend - a daughter named Harper Seven - by Caesarean section

Four years ago, Debra Hicks, from Taunton, Somerset, gave birth to her eighth — and last — baby by Caesarean. She was still three babies short of the world record, however, which is held by Kristina House, from the U.S., who, according to the Guinness World Records, had 11 Caesareans between 1979 and 1998.

‘The important thing is to differentiate between planned and emergency Caesareans,’ says Mr Spence-Jones.

‘There is no reason why a healthy woman, with the right medical supervision, cannot have four Caesareans perfectly safely.’

Jayne’s medical team took no chances with her. She was hospitalised, with complete bed rest, for the last four months of her pregnancy.

She’d had no such supervision during her three previous deliveries with Amy, 19, Jonathan, 11 and Benjamin, ten.

‘Amy was delivered early, as there were fears that she was not developing properly,’ says Jayne.

‘It later turned out she had the congenital disorder Cockayne Syndrome.

‘I had elective Caesareans with my two subsequent pregnancies, as I was told there was a risk of my uterus rupturing. Having already been through hell with Amy, it wasn’t something I was prepared to risk.

‘I was checked four times a day, and I wasn’t even allowed out of bed to stretch my legs or visit the bathroom. My life consisted of reading magazines and waiting.’

When Laura was born, weighing a healthy 5lb 6oz, on August 14, 2003, Mark and Jayne’s relief was enormous.

Like the Beckhams, who have said Harper will be their last baby, the Hughes decided to eradicate the risk of any more accidental pregnancies.

‘I was sterilised there and then,’ says Jayne.

‘We love Laura to bits, but I think we’ve pushed our luck as far as we want to.’

Delighted Victoria and David name their little girl Harper Seven Beckham

By Liz Thomas and Sarah Bull

-Victoria 'doing well' after welcoming fourth child
-Sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz 'excited' to meet their new sister
-The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge send message of congratulations
-Emma Bunton and Mel B tweet their congratulations to Victoria

New addition: David and Victoria Beckham have welcomed a new addition to their family, a 7lbs 10oz baby girl

After months of speculation, David and Victoria Beckham have announced they have decided to call their little girl Harper Seven Beckham.

David confirmed the news on his Facebook page after he and wife Victoria welcomed the baby, who weighed 7lb 10oz, at 7.55am yesterday morning.

The footballer wrote: 'I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA.

'Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx'

The Seven in the name is believed to be a reference to David's football number when he played for Manchester United and England, while the Harper could be referring to Harper's Bazaar magazine or perhaps To Kill A Mockingbird author Harper Lee.

Proud: David announced the baby's name on his Facebook page

A close friend of the couple said: 'Harper is an old English name, something Victoria has always liked. Seven is a very lucky happy number and the baby was born just after 7am, in the seventh month.'

Following the birth of the couple's fourth child, a spokesperson said: 'David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter.

‘Happy and healthy she arrived at 7.55 am this morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family.'

Oh baby! David posted this picture of his pregnant wife Victoria on his Facebook page earlier this week

The child was born by elective Caesarean, in the same way as the Beckhams' older children.

And a source told The Sun that David was so happy about the new arrival that he was literally crying with joy.

The insider said: 'David has been crying with joy. They are all so happy.'

The pair are also said to be 'stunned' because the little girl looks so much like Victoria did when she was a baby.

Following the birth of the little girl, David's sister Joanne tweeted: 'Big congrats to my sister in law @victoriabeckham and my big bro on the birth of my beautiful niece :) can't wait 2 see u all xx'

A delighted Mel B, who is expecting her third child later this year, also expressed her excitement on the network site, writing: 'Congrats!!! Yipeee another spice baby is born, damn it wish it was me this AM cos I feel like I'm about to POP!'

And Emma Bunton added: 'Big kiss to @victoriabeckham can't wait to meet your gorgeous little girl!'

Victoria has remained active throughout her pregnancy - working on her fashion line and travelling up until last month.

Just days ago the LA Galaxy star, 36, posted a portrait of his heavily pregnant wife that put her form on show in all its glory.

He wrote on his Facebook page: 'Took this pic of Victoria while she wasn't looking. She looks amazing, so close now to the baby being born!'

And, earlier this week, David and Victoria were wished good luck for their arrival by Prince William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

David attended a drinks reception welcoming the royal couple to Los Angeles, but Victoria was absent from the event given that she was so close to the end of her pregnancy.

The footballer told Prince William: 'Victoria really wanted to come but she is just so tired at the moment. She sent you both lots of love. How was Canada? It looked amazing.'

It's getting close! David was on the field for LA Galaxy yesterday ahead of his wife giving birth

Excited: The couple's children Brooklyn and Romeo were there to cheer their dad on

Prince William replied: 'Don’t be silly, send her all our love and tell her good luck with it all. It’s been an amazing few days – we’ve been so lucky with all the incredible places we’ve been able to see and we’ve met so many fascinating people. It’s been amazing, amazing.'

And, following the birth, William and Catherine were quick to send a message of congratulations to the Beckhams, according to their press secretary Miguel Head, who added they were unlikely to have time to meet the new arrival.

Congratulations: David's UK-based sister Joanne was quick to take to her Twitter page to offer her congratulations

Spice love: Emma Bunton offered her congratulations to the Beckhams on their new arrival

My turn! Victoria's former Spice Girls bandmate Mel B said congratulations but said she wanted to be the one to give birth

David also spoke about the media frenzy surrounding the birth of his first daughter.

He said: 'I woke up on Wednesday to a tonne of messages on my voicemail from our friends congratulating me on the birth of our daughter.

'I turned to Victoria and said: “Did I miss something?” Apparently it’s being reported every day that she’s already been born. One way or another, fingers crossed, she’ll be with us in the next few days.'

Going solo: David attended a drinks reception to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Los Angeles earlier this week and was wished luck for the arrival by the royal pair

The former Spice Girl turned fashion designer, 37, has often hinted at her desire for a daughter, saying in one interview that should could imagine “painting her nails, putting on make-up, and choosing clothes” with her.

Last year she said: ‘Everyone keeps asking me if I would like to have a little girl and I think, at some point, if I am lucky enough to have another baby that would be great. If I am blessed enough.’

The couple’s main home is a £14million mansion in Beverly Hills but the couple have yet to decide where they will live once his contract with LA Galaxy expires in November.

Speculation had mounted that they would return to the UK after they put on hold plans to sell their £18 million home - ‘Beckingham Palace’ Hertfordshire.

Victoria recently gave a frank appraisal of how she and her husband differ in their view of life in Los Angeles.

She said: ‘He misses European football. But America really works with my personality.’

Growing brood: Victoria and David are already parents to sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz

The couple first met in 1997 and became engaged a year later before having first son Brooklyn - famously named after the place where he was conceived – in 1999.

Four months later, the Beckhams enjoyed a sumptuous wedding at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, with the couple much ridiculed for opting to sit on golden thrones.

The couple have become one of the biggest brands in the planet with an array of endorsement deals and are now worth an estimated £150 million.

Second son Romeo was born in 2002 and Beckham left the UK in July 2003 when Real Madrid paid £25million to sign him from Manchester United.

Building up: Victoria was last seen out with David in Las Vegas on 29th June

His wife chose not to move to Spain until the following year choosing instead to focus on a solo career after the demise of the Spice Girls.

David announced he was transferred in July 2007 to LA Galaxy and they moved to Beverly Hills where the boys have been attending a prestigious private school ever since.

Victoria has carved out a successful design career and her dresses are now a favourite with Hollywood stars.

And bets of what their little girl will grow up to be are already being placed and the Irish bookmaking firm Paddy Power has offered odds of 100:1 on Harper following in dad’s footsteps and going out for the England Women’s team.

The odds of her becoming a singer in the mode of her former Spice Girl mother are 16:1.
